Life happens and furniture breaks. We strive to keep the integrity of wooden furniture repair as close to original as possible. Using the mechanics of joinery, we approach each piece individually, making furniture repair exciting every time. We restore both antique furniture and repair modern pieces. We fix furniture in its entirety: from broken legs or failing glue to broken veneer and missing marquetry. Whether it is from water or fire damage, breaks from moving damage, furniture repair is our favorite part of our work.
Conserving treasured pieces will sometimes require refinishing because time can be brutal on neglected furniture. Furniture varnish will dry, crack, and degenerate. Sun damage alone can completely change a favorite heirloom. Guided by the ethics of the American Institute for Conservation, we do our best to maintain the integrity of each piece and provide individual treatments using current methods and approved materials.
